Strong objections to moves to increase CEB tariffs

Strong objections were raised in Parliament today over moves to increase tariffs by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). Litro increases domestic gas prices

Litro Gas has increased the price of domestic gas owing to an increase in world prices. The company said that an increase in the demand for gas in the global market during the season and the Ukraine war has resulted in an increase in global gas prices. ICE and other drugs found in school canteen

Crystal methamphetamine (ICE) and other forms of drugs were found in a school canteen in Gampaha today. The Police said that a 42-year-old woman had been arrested with ICE and pills. The woman was said to be managing the canteen at the school.
