Chinese Film Festival in Colombo to mark Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year ? the 3^rd Chinese Film Festival organized by the Embassy of the People?s Republic of China and the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka will be held from 1^st to 6^th February 2017 at Tharangni Hall of the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said.

Eight highly acclaimed Chinese films featuring love story, action, fantasy, suspense and fairy tale and starring with a group of world famous Chinese and Chinese Hong Kong actors and actress will be screened free to the public except the opening movie on 1^st February 2018.

The screening schedule is as follows:

The Master, 6:30 PM, 2^nd February 2018, Friday

A Tale of Three Cities, 2:30 PM, 3^rd February 2018, Saturday

Namal defends Chinese funded projects in Sri Lanka

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, defended the projects funded by China in Sri Lanka.
