Sri Lanka Cricket to go ahead with EGM

The Sri Lanka Cricket board is to go ahead with the Extraordinary General Meeting set for tomorrow despite some opposition.

The Extraordinary General Meeting is to be held at the SLC Headquarters in Colombo.

The purposes of the meeting is to adopt and approve the proposed amendments to the Constitution of Sri Lanka Cricket (amended in accordance with the amendments to the Regulations of the Sport Law No. 25 of 1973), elect a new General Secretary and approve and adopt the Domestic Tournament Structure, Tournament Rules and Playing Conditions.

Some cricket clubs have opposed the holding of the EGM saying its is unconstitutional.
