The?Navy has been instructed to open a Navy camp near the Hambantota port, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said today. Injunction against liquidating Rakna Lanka extended

The injunction against liquidating the Rakna Lanka security firm was today extended further. Cabinet had recently decided to dissolve the Rakna Lanka security firm. Rakna Lanka was operating under the Ministry of Defence and was established by the former Government. Namal insists his girlfriend not involved in traffic violation

Opposition Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa insisted that his girlfriend was not involved in a traffic violation recently. Rajapaksa, who appeared before the police Financial crimes Investigations Division (FCID) today, later told reporters the Inspector General of Police (IGP) was now investigating a mere traffic violation and not more serious crimes. He said he did not have a girlfriend so a daughter of an opposition politician recently charged over a traffic violation was not his girlfriend.
