Air Force rescues six people trapped in Mullaitivu

The?Air Force rescued six people trapped in Mullaitivu after a dam broke and water flooded the area. The Air Force said that the dam in Alampil Niththakay broke resulting in a village in the area being flooded. Six people trapped in the area were rescued using a Mi-17 helicopter.

Maldives investigates sexual harassment allegations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Maldives has launched an investigation into sexual harassment claims at the Foreign Ministry. The Maldives Foreign Ministry confirmed that a complaint had been lodged with the Committee established in the Ministry to receive, investigate and handle all complaints relating to sexual abuse and harassment, under the Act No. 16/2014 (Sexual Abuse and Harassment Prevention Act). Namal defends Chinese funded projects in Sri Lanka

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, defended the projects funded by China in Sri Lanka.
