Wanted suspects identified as killed, in custody

The Police say six suspects wanted over the Easter Sunday bombings are either dead or in Police custody. According to the Police, two of the suspects are dead and four are in custody. Public assistance had been sought to locate the six suspects linked to the Easter Sunday bombings. The Police had sought information on Mohammad Ivuhaim Sadiq Abdul Haq, Mohammed Ivuhaim Shaid Abdul Haq, Mohammed Casim Mohammed Rilwan, Fatima Latif, Pulasthini Rajendran alias Sarah and Abdul Cader Fatima Kadir.

Raids in Kerala for IS suspects following Sri Lanka bombings

General Kottegoda appointed new Defence Secretary

General Shantha Kottegoda has been appointed as the new Defence Secretary. The President’s media division said that Kottegoda was appointed to the post by President Maithripala Sirisena. Kottegoda was the Commander of the Sri Lankan Army from 1 July 2004 ? 5 December 2005.
