Finance Minister announces pre-budget bonanza

Finance and Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera today announced a pre-budget bonanza where the levy imposed on several essential food items had been reduced from midnight, today.

The Minister said that a majority of the consumers will benefit from the reduction of prices.

Accordingly the levy imposed on the following food commodities will reduced:
