Pakistani Naval ship PNS SAIF arrives in Sri Lanka

As part of a goodwill port call and to further strengthen the bilateral relations with Sri Lanka, a Pakistani Naval ship PNS SAIF arrived at the Colombo port on 04-day visit today.

The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the ship in compliance with naval traditions.

During its four day stay in Sri Lanka, the ship is scheduled to undertake a number of activities including professional interactions, sports and training sessions as well as a reception on November 06, 2017.

Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) SAIF is a SWORD class F22P Frigates of Chinese origin. It is equipped with state of the art weapons, sensors and machinery, making it capable of undertaking a variety of maritime operations.

Relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka are multifaceted. There is a great deal of commonality in their culture and tradition. Contemporary relations are characterized by mutual trust, credibility, understanding and good will at all levels. (Colombo Gazette)
