Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today noted the importance of having the support of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) to take the country forward.
He said for the first time the TNA is considering proposals put forward by the two main political parties in the country.
The Prime Minister also said that no one has submitted proposals which seek to divide the country.
Speaking in Hatton today, Wickremesinghe said that the Government has been given a mandate to unite all communities in the country.
He said by working together, two main political parties in the country, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the United National Party, have been able to unite all communities.
The Prime Minister also said that while a lot is being said about a new Constitution, the final draft has not been discussed for anyone to debate the issue. (Colombo Gazette)
