Ukraine inmate who attempted to escape from court arrested

A Ukraine prisoner who attempted to escape after being presented to court in Colombo today was arrested by the authorities.

Prison guards had fired in the air when the foreigner had attempted to escape and ordered him to surrender.

The prisoner was later arrested. (Colombo Gazette)
