Eight Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Lankan waters

The Navy has arrested eight Indian fishermen for poaching in Sri Lankan waters in the Northern seas. Naval personnel onboard a Fast Gun Boat and a Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, on routine patrol, arrested the fishermen and seized two fishing trawlers north-west of the Delft Island. Stay order against arrest of Gotabaya further extended

A stay order issued by the Court of Appeal preventing the arrest of former?Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has been further extended February 15. The stay order had earlier been extended from December 15 till?today.
