Dead red bellied dolphin washed ashore in Kalmunai

By Farook Sihan A dead red bellied dolphin was found washed ashore in Kalmunai today. The dolphin was said to be between 4-5 feet long and was found by fishermen in Pandiruppu, Kalmunai. Officials from the Fisheries Department, public health inspectors and the Police arrived at the location after they were alerted about the dead dolphin. Dr. Jayasundara Bandara resigns from Covid 19 project

Project Director of the Sri Lanka Covid 19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project, Dr. Jayasundara Bandara has resigned. Convicted murderer, former politician Duminda Silva has been granted a presidential pardon. The Prisons Department said that it had received the documentation from the President’s Office to free Duminda Silva on a presidential pardon.
