Arjun refuses to give evidence, AG to be consulted on order

Arjun Aloysius today informed the?Presidential Commission of Inquiry investigating the alleged treasury bond scam that he does not wish to give evidence before the commission.

The Presidential Commission yesterday said that it has no authority to force Arjun Aloysius to give evidence.

The commission said that while evidence is required from?Arjun Aloysius in the case it cannot force him to make any statements.

However Acting Solicitor General Dappula De Livera today told the commission he did not agree with the order and will consult the Attorney General on the matter. (Colombo Gazette)

Malaysian politician rejects allegations linking him to the LTTE
