Aava group influenced by South Indian films says Army

The ‘Aava group; has bee influenced by South Indian films, the Jaffna Army chief said. Jaffna Security Forces Commander, Major General D.D.U.K Hettiarachchi said that?there is no truth to claims the LTTE was regrouping in the North. Hettiarachchi said that intelligence agencies have also confirmed the LTTE, which was defeated in 2009. is not active in Jaffna. Maldives coastguard locates missing Sri Lankan fishing boat

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)?s Coastguard has located the Sri Lankan fishing boat which went missing and drifted into Maldivian territorial waters with 6 fishermen, Sun online in the Maldives reported. MNDF?s information officer, Captain Ibrahim Azim reported that the Sri Lankan fishing boat ?Lakpriya? was found 12 nautical miles outside N. Manadhoo at approximately 9:45 am this Saturday. He said the information has been shared with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center of Colombo.

Sri Lanka asserts vote on Jerusalem not against any country

Sri Lanka today asserted that its vote on Jerusalem at the UN General Assembly yesterday was not against any country.
