Chairman of the National Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has played down issues among the three members of the Commission saying it is only a case of differences of opinion. No move to reconvene Parliament unilaterally

Former Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya has refuted rumours surrounding the reconvening of Parliament. Jayasuriya said via Twitter that rumours that he would reconvene the Parliament unilaterally are false. He further said while fighting COVID-19, Sri Lanka does not want another Constitutional crisis. Number of coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka reaches 330

The number of coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka reached 330 tonight (Wednesday). The Ministry of Health said that seven more patients were detected with the coronavirus in Sri Lanka bringing the total to 330.
