First health worker dies in Sri Lanka from Covid

Sri Lanka today lost its first health worker as a result of the coronavirus. The deceased was identified by the Health Ministry as 32-year-old Dr. Gayan Danthanarayana, attached to the Colombo North Teaching hospital in Ragama. The doctor is reported to have died while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Karapitiya hospital for COVID-19. Former Speaker Lokubandara contracts Covid
