Air Force Commander and Army Commander hold talks

Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters extended a courtesy welcome to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake when the Commander paid his first formal courtesy visit to the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy today.

A Guard of Honour, presented in his honour greeted the Commander of the Army who formally reviewed the parade in the company of the parade commander.

The courtesy meeting that followed a few minutes later between the visiting Commander of the Army and the Commander of the Air Force at the office of the Air Force Commander focused on matters of mutual interest and roles of respective services.

At the culmination of the courtesy visit, both of them exchanged mementos as symbols of goodwill and understanding. Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake also left his compliments in the VIP visitors’ book before he left the Air Force Headquarters.
