Muhunthan Canagey resigns amidst corruption allegations

Muhunthan Canagey resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), which was founded under the vision of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Canagey resigned?amidst allegations of?corruption being raised against the agency.

Canagey was earlier?appointed to the post in order to widen the role of ICTA in the public and private sector, and initiate and implement the national ICT policy, which will also include contributing to reforms, innovation, and ushering in new opportunities for the local ICT industry. New infections detected in Borella and Mirihana

A number of Covid infected individuals have been detected from the Borella and Mirihana areas in the Colombo District. The detections were made during a 24-hour period ending at 6am today.
