Three waste-to-energy projects are to be launched in August, the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development said.
Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Champika Ranawaka said that steps have been taken to address the garbage issue.
He said that garbage piled up in Colombo had been removed and most of it is being used as compost.
The Minister also said that a final solution is being worked at for the garbage issue and a location has been identified to dump garbage in future. (Colombo Gazette)
