UN Under Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, began a visit to Sri Lanka today to take stock of the progress in the country.
The UN office in Colombo said that from 19-21 July, Feltman will be in Sri Lanka to follow-up on his 2015 visit, to take stock of progress in the country and engage national stakeholders on the peacebuilding process.
As part of his visit Feltman met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ravi Karunanayake, at the Ministry today.
He also met with the Governor of the Eastern Province, Rohita Bogollagama in Trincomalee
During his visit, Feltman will meet with government officials and leadership of the Tamil National Alliance. (Colombo Gazette)
