Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunga wants to head the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board.
Ranatunga tweeted saying he is ready to take over the board to prepare a team for the 2019 cricket world cup.
“I’m prepared to take over SLC if requsted by President & PM to bring together a collaborate squad for WC-2019,” Ranatunga said.
The Sri Lanka cricket board has been embroiled in controversy in the recent past over mismanagement.
The Sri Lanka cricket team, meanwhile, suffered a humiliating loss to Zimbabwe in the one-day international series this week. (Colombo Gazette)
