An investigation has been launched on private hospitals violating the fixed price imposed on blood tests, the Ministry of Health said today.
Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne had informed private hospitals to charge only Rs. 250 for a full blood count test and Rs. 1000 for a blood test for dengue till the dengue crisis is brought under control.
However the Health Ministry says some private hospitals have been found to be charging more than the stipulated amount.
As a result an investigation has been launched by the Health Ministry to identify the private hospitals violating the order issued by the Health Ministry to take appropriate action. (Colombo Gazette)
