DIG Priyantha Jayakody steps down as Police spokesman

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police?Priyantha Jayakody had decided to step down as Police spokesman.

DIG?Jayakody said he had decided to resign due to a prevailing medical condition.

He said in a Facebook post that SP Ruwan Gunasekara will be the new Police media spokesman.

“I take this opportunity to convey my sincere gratitude towards all media colleges and all my FB friends for the untainted support and courage tender towards me to fulfill my assignment during this period,” he said. (Colombo Gazette)
