JVP Parliamentarian Sunil Handunnetti told reporters today that the next disaster following the recent floods will be a disaster involving humanitarian aid.
He said there is a concern the humanitarian aid will not reach all those in need and some of it may go into the wrong hands.
Handunnetti said that several foreign Governments have promised aid to Sri Lanka, including financial assistance.
However the Parliamentarian questioned if there was a system in place to ensure money reaches the affected people. (Colombo Gazette)
