Policemen killed in Ududumbara accident

At least two policemen were killed and three others were injured following an accident in Ududumbara. The police said that the accident a tipper truck and a van. The injured policemen were rushed to hospital.

Hidden explosives found in house garden

Explosives hidden inside plastic barrels were found from the garden of a house in Jaffna. The police and the Special Task Force conducted a search operation in the garden of the house located in Urelu today. The house owner had dug the earth in the garden to extend the house when he came across the plastic barrels. He had then opened one barrel and found explosives concealed inside.
