Vaas taking players to the next level

Former Sri Lanka left-arm seamer Chaminda Vaas said someone with a good running technique can become a good fast bowler.

?Fast bowling is an art; it?s not only about running and bowling. One needs a lot of strength and agility and should be prepared to take a heavy work load,? said Vaas.

?I learnt from someone else. I looked up to Ashantha de Mel, Ravi Ratnayake, Rumesh Ratnayake, Wasim Akram, Sir Richard Hadlee and Dennis Lillee. I was at the MRF Pace Foundation when I was 18. Coaching is taking the players to the next level.?

The 43-year-old Vaas is in Mumbai?to conduct a camp for Jwala Singh?s Cricket Foundation and players taking part in the Mitsui Shoji T20 League Season 7.
