Several parcels with heroin were found on the beach in Sampur today, the Police said. The Police said that 21 parcels containing 5.55 kgs of heroin were found. The heroin was valued at over Rs. 66 million. (Colombo Gazette)

Suspect arrested over shooting of soldier in Ratmalana

A suspect has been arrested over the shooting of a soldier in Ratmalana, the Police said. The Police said that the suspect was arrested by the?Mirihana Special Crimes Investigation Unit. The soldier was shot at on June 25th by gunmen at Chakkindarama Road in Ratmalana. The soldier was admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital with gunshot injuries. (Colombo Gazette)
