The Police fired tear-gas on an anti-SAITM protest at Town Hall this afternoon.
The protest was staged by the Inter-University Student’s Federation.
At least 17 students and five policemen were injured in the incident.
The Police said that eight students were arrested. (Colombo Gazette)
