President questions MR’s double standards on Modi

President Maithripala Sirisena today questioned the double standards of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa over his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that those who had called for black flag protests during Modi’s Sri Lanka visit suddenly wanted to meet him.

Sirisena says he was approached by the Indian High Commission saying Rajapaksa had sought a meeting with Modi.

“I said go ahead,” Sirisena said at an event today.

President Maithripala Sirisena said that the meeting between Modi and Rajapaksa took place at around 11pm last Thursday.

He also said that some people feel they can change the current government and are using the crowd support the opposition had at the May Day rally to push this point.

The President said that it is a joke to assume that one can win an election based on the support they had at a May Day rally.  (Colombo Gazette)

Year 2015 January MS and their bunch of few political class has surrender ours national to sovereignty to Indian hegemonies?

That is truth of history of “modern democracy” . by MS has name of betrayal of people of Sri lanka to BJP-RSS out-fit
It is fact to understood MS is traitor of our nation, who betray Sri lanka to the big -bourgeois to Indians

  2. Modi is a world class real leader and he was a target of Western Powers before patriotic indians elected him as Prime Minister. Rajapaksa has also been a target of Westerners for finishing the war. Definitely Modi wants to talk with Rajapaksa who is a real hero of people rather than a puppet of westerners who divides Sri Lanka.
