Ranjith resigns following Nandasena’s removal

North Central Provincial Council Minister S M Ranjith resigned from his post as a Minister in the Council is protest over the removal of Provincial Council Minister K.H. Nandasena.

Nandasena was removed from his post earlier in the day, reportedly over his support to the joint opposition.

S.M.Ranjith later announced he tendered his resignation from his post in protest over Nandasena’s removal.

President Maithripala Sirisena recently began a crackdown on Sri Lanka Freedom Party members backing former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. President Sirisena is in a suicidal mission now and he will have to find a country to live when he losses the position of Presidency. Chandrika also doing the same thing but she will run away to UK once again when Yahapalanaya goes downhill. If Chandrika and Sarath Fonseka were the main killers of Tamil people why Tamils support these two people? They can go to North even without a protest. Sri Lankans should open their eyes to understand what Sirisena is doing to the country with the help from Chandrika. It is not about Rajapaksha anymore!
