Six year old dies after stone assault

A six year old child who was assaulted by a woman using a stone within the premises of a school in Ella last week, died in hospital last night. The police media unit said that the woman had been arrested following the assault last Friday while the child was admitted to the Badulla hospital. Lanka seeks compensation from club

Sri Lanka is to seek compensation from a South Korean club where three Sri Lankans were killed following a fire recently. The Ministry of Foreign Employment said that the bodies of the three victims will be flown back to Sri Lankan tomorrow.
