Five year multiple-entry visas for foreign students

The Government has proposed five year multiple-entry visas for foreign students from next year. Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that the proposal will help boost tourism in the country. The Minister made the proposal when presenting the 2017 budget in Parliament today. (Colombo Gazette)

Four suspects connected to ‘Aava group’ remanded

Four suspects allegedly connected to the ‘Aava group’ have been remanded by the Colombo Additional Magistrate. The four suspects were produced in court and remanded till November 16. Ranil orders probe on police action against disabled soldiers
