Croc attack in Akuressa

A crocodile attack was reported in Akuressa this morning, the police media unit said. The police said that an 18 year old girl who had gone to wash her face in the Nilwala river was dragged away by the crocodile. Following a search operation launched by the police together with the assistance of people in the area, the body of the victim was found. Police investigations are underway.

Opposition warns country at critical stage

The opposition warned in parliament today that the country was at a critical stage following the adoption of a resolution at the UN Human Rights Council recently. Hillary will not meet the TNA

The U.S Embassy in Colombo says U.S Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has no plans to meet with the Tamil National Alliance next month.
