Mother who jumped into Kelani river with son remanded

A mother who jumped into the Kelani river with her son was today ordered to be remanded till May 2 by the Mahara Magistrate.

The mother jumped into the river wither her six year old son in an attempt to commit suicide.

However the mother was rescued while the son drowned.

The body of the boy was recovered today. (Colombo Gazette)
