Temple Trees will run on generators during the power crisis, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said today. He requested all state institutions not to be a burden on the national grid during the ongoing crisis. Sumanthiran tells Bandula to resign from committee on public finance

Beedi leaves floating in the sea recovered by the Navy

Beedi leaves packed in parcels were found by crew members of a Fast Attack Craft and a Coastal Patrol Vessel of the Sri Lanka Navy, floating in the sea. The leaves were found during a patrol carried out in the seas of Mannartoday (29th March). The beedi leaves which was 1456.1 kg in weight, was packed in 33 parcels.
