Week long war on dengue mosquitoes to be launched

A week long war on dengue mosquitoes is to be launched from tomorrow, the Ministry of Health said today.

The Health Ministry said that the dengue mosquito eradication week will be conducted around the island.

According to the Health Ministry, 24562 people have been reported as having dengue in Sri Lanka so far this year.

In 2017, the Health Ministry says 40 people have been reported dead.

Dengue has been most recorded in Colombo, Gampaha, Matara, Kalutara, Galle, Hambantota, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Jaffna, Kalmunai, Ratnapura and Kegalle. (Colombo Gazette)
