Wimal transferred to prison hospital after hunger strike

Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa was transferred to the prison hospital after his condition deteriorated following a hunger strike.

Weerawansa had launched a hunger strike over his bail application being rejected.

The Parliamentarian is in remand prison over the alleged misuse of Government vehicles when he was a Minister in the former Government. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. Any life is important for us. But Tamils think life of Sinhalese are to be die for gain land and occupy for Tamil Eealm in North .
    That is ideology of TNA-LTTE political alliances of concern of Human being.

    By the way UNP has experiences of killed 70,000 to 80,000 during 1988/89- JVP insurgencies.

    Killed MP Wimal is nothing for UNP leaders .
    They want ,but waiting for time to come, that is politics of UNP # “Democracy “

  2. Wimalay should continue the fast and save some food for the country;- perhaps he dies, hewill be more popular dead than alivel- So better die , than make this country a burden with such arse holes
