Education Minister orders full report on students misbehaving

Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam today ordered a full report on students who misbehaved during the school ‘big match’ season.

A statement by the Education Ministry said that?Kariyawasam has called for disciplinary action to be taken on the students.

Students attached to Mahanama College in Colombo were accused of misbehaving after entering two girl’s schools in Colombo while parading for the school big match.

Police spokesman Priyantha Jayakody said that several students had been identified over the incident and a report was sent to the school.

He said that stern police action will be taken on any student who misbehaves during the?big match’ season.

The police have already been deployed to provide security to all girl’s schools in Colombo. (Colombo Gazette)
