Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says he wanted to give former President Mahinda Rajapaksa some advise while returning from Singapore recently.
Wickremesinghe said that while he was in Singapore recently he heard that Rajapaksa was also there so he hoped to meet him on the same flight while returning to Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister says he hoped to tell Rajapaksa to forget the Ugandan system and to embrace the Singaporean system.
“It will be good if Mahinda Rajapaksa embraces new thinking,” he said.
Wickremesinghe however said he could not meet Rajapaksa as they did not return on the same flight. The Prime Minister was speaking at an event in Colombo today.
