Commission on bond scam suspends sittings temporarily

The?Presidential Commission on the Central Bank (CB) treasury bond scam has suspended it sittings temporarily.

The Commission has suspended the sittings pending the advice of the Attorney General on the participation of Perpetual Treasuries in the hearings.

Central Bank Governor Indrajit Coomaraswamy appeared before the Commission yesterday.

President Maithripala Sirisena had appointed the?three member commission to investigate the Central Bank treasury bond issue. (Colombo Gazette)
