TNA to visit India, US

A Tamil National Alliance (TNA) delegation headed by party leader R. Sambanthan is to visit India at the end of next month, reports said today. The Jaffna based Uthayan newspaper quoted TNA sources as saying that the TNA delegation will brief the Indian government on the current situation in the country. 135 accidents in 24hrs

The police recorded 135 road accidents around the country over the 24 hour period ending at six this morning, the police media spokesman said. According to police spokesman SP Ajith Rohana 10 people had died from road accidents during that same period. Manmohan monitoring rehabilitation

Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Sing is closely monitoring the rehabilitation program of war displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka, an Indian Minister said today.
