A woman began a protest at Galle Face today seeking justice for her missing husband. Mayuri Jayasena said that her husband was abducted five years ago and has not been heard of since. A press statement said that?Mayuri Jayasena was seeking truth and justice for her husband. She launched the protest at Galle Face Green today and is to continue the protest till tomorrow. Former Prisons Commissioner and Police IP further remanded

Former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan and Inspector of Police (IP) Neomal Rangajeewa, who were arrested over the 2012 Welikada Prison riot, have been further remanded till September 18th. Court refuses to give order against joint opposition protest
