The External Affairs Ministry today appointed Ravinatha Aryasinha as the new ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva. UNP to meet the Speaker

The United National Party (UNP) is to meet parliament Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa to obtain approval to hold a debate in parliament on abductions in the country. A stay order has been issued against dissolving the North Central Provincial Council (NCPC) before its due date.
