Government will let legal process take its course

The Government says it will let the legal process to take its course.

Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayake said that everyone is treated equally before the law.

He said that if there is a police complaint against someone the legal process will apply to that person no matter who he or she is.

The Minister noted that Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra is one such person who was dealt with by the law despite being close to the Government.

Ratnayake was speaking to the media in Galle on the sidelines of the Galle Literary Festival. (Colombo Gazette)
