Government will let legal process take its course

The?Government says it will let the legal process to take its course.

Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayake said that everyone is treated equally before the law.

He said that if there is a police complaint against someone?the legal process will apply to that person?no matter who he or she is.

The Minister noted that Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra is one such person who was dealt with by the law despite being close to the Government.

Ratnayake was speaking to the media in Galle on the sidelines of the Galle Literary Festival. (Colombo Gazette)

The ‘Tamil Eelam Cyber Force’ launched a fresh attack on local websites today. The hackers had defaced http://slbfe.lk (Sri Lanka bureau of Foreign employment) and the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government.? SJB insists it had backing of UNP when formed

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) today insisted that it had the support of the United National Party (UNP) to form the new alliance. SJB member Dr. Harsha de Silva told reporters today that lawyers of the SJB will deal with the decision taken by the UNP to suspend 99 members who are part of the SJB.
