TNA reiterates call for meaningful devolution of powers

SumanthiranThe Tamil National Alliance (TNA) today reiterated calls for meaningful devolution of powers to the provinces.

TNA Parliamentarian M.A. Sumanthiran said that the TNA will not support a unitary system of governance.

Sumanthiran said the provisions in the new Constitution must ensure the country cannot be divided.

He told Parliament that while the TNA is committed towards an undivided country there needs to be meaningful devolution of powers. (Colombo Gazette)

  1. TNA is anti-establishment outfit not for democracy and sovereignty but for Separatism of an Island by Tamil Eealm political road map.

    No way for power devolution by 1987 Indo-Sri lanka accord base politics proposed by Indian RAW.

    Well known fact TNA is nakedly betray ours nation sovereignty the interest of minority of Tamils chavnanist
    That is not accepts by Majority Democracy.
    The democracy and Separatism is not identical ,while the anti-establishment politics that cannot go togethers at any cost .

    We are totally an opposed Federalism of devolution not the Will of Democratic values..
