Curfew extended for six districts

The Police curfew imposed in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna Districts has been extended until further notice. The President?s Media Division (PMD) said the Police curfew imposed in the other districts, which was reimposed at 02.00 p.m. today, will remain in effect until 06.00 a.m. on 01 April. Patients and staff of two hospital wards quarantined

Patients and staff of two hospital wards have been quarantined after coronavirus infected patients were detected in both hospitals. Officials said that patients and staff of Ward 5 of the Kalubowila Hospital had been quarantined after two coronavirus infected patients were detected in the ward. Meanwhile, patients and staff of Ward 20 of the Negombo Hospital have also been quarantined after a coronavirus infected patient was detected in the ward. (Colombo Gazette)

Sri Lanka?s second coronavirus victim cremated

Sri Lanka?s second coronavirus victim was cremated in Negombo last night. Public Health Officials were at the Negombo public cemetery for the cremation. The deceased is a 64 year- old who was receiving treatment at the Negombo Hospital. The first Sri Lankan to die of the coronavirus in Sri Lanka was identified as a 60 year ? old man from Marawila.
