Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara step down

Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara have resigned from the Cabinet. Harin Fernando was appointed as the Minister of Tourism and Lands while Manusha Nanayakkara had been appointed as the Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment on 29th May. BASL says curfew blatantly illegal

The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) says the Police curfew imposed today is “blatantly illegal”. The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has also directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to withdraw the curfew.
