Disabled tri-forces members and police stage protest

Retired disabled tri-forces members and policemen staged a protest in Fort today seeking the attention of the Government over their demands.

The disabled tri-forces members and policemen protested against the current pension scheme.

The Collective of Retired or Disabled Military and Police Personnel staged a protest in July this year urging the President to intervene in the proposed pension scheme.

The tri-forcesĀ and Police identified 20 issues facing the retired and disabled war heroes and they discussed the matter with President Maithripala Sirisena. (Colombo Gazette)
