The son of State Minister Arundika Fernando has been arrested and remanded over an assault on students of the Kelaniya University?s Faculty of Medicine in Ragama. Sri Lanka Navy detains foreign vessel smuggling heroin

The Sri Lanka Navy detained a foreign vessel smuggling heroin and arrested nine foreigners inboard. The Navy said that the arrest was made following a special operation carried out by Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with the Sri Lanka Police and intelligence agencies.
